Our pioneering Arts in Health programme builds on the robust body of evidence that outstanding design and engagement with the arts can improve physical and mental wellbeing.
Drawing on 30 years’ expertise in art and design, we aim to enhance our hospitals and transform the experience of patients, their families and our Trust staff.
We hold a collection of more than 2,000 works, from a Renaissance masterpiece to contemporary digital art, many of which are on display around our hospitals for everyone to enjoy.
Join us for a video tour of our award-winning Arts in Health programme, featuring colleagues who talk about how our Arts for All, Design and Environment, and Research and Evaluation strands help to make our Trust a better place to give and receive care.

I’m fascinated by the art collection. While my son is getting treatment, I like to go and look at the different artworks – they’ve become like familiar friends
