OUR IMPACT
Thanks to the generous support of our donors, the work we do at CW+ has a positive impact on patients, visitors and staff across Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust – and beyond.
IMPROVING OUTCOMES FOR PATIENTS
CW Innovation, a partnership between CW+ and the Trust, drives innovation and research that can improve patient care, patient experience and the way our hospitals and clinics are run.
The programme has enabled pilots of new clinical services and trials of cutting-edge technology, many of which go on to be adopted across the trust. Alongside our support for staff training and funding of clinical research, this leads to improved clinical practice and greater understanding of effective treatments.

IMPROVING THE EXPERIENCE OF PATIENTS AND VISITORS
Since 1993, CW+ has been at the forefront of improving the experience of those visiting the hospitals.
Our Arts for All participatory programme of wellbeing-focused activities, delivered across the Trust by a team of experienced resident artists, provides distraction and entertainment for patients and visitors.
And drawing on our design expertise, we work on enhancements to the physical environment, optimising treatment and recovery spaces in our hospitals.
Researching, evaluating and sharing the impact of our programmes and enhancements is an important aspect of our work, helping to shape best practice nationally and internationally.

IMPROVING STAFF HEALTH AND WELLBEING
At a time when recruitment and retention of staff is crucial for the future of the NHS, investing in the expertise and wellbeing of Trust staff has never been more important.
CW+ delivers a range of wellbeing activities for staff, including in the bespoke CW+ Studio, as well as improvements to rest spaces and working environments.
In addition, the CW+ Grants Programme offers support to all staff by funding ideas that help improve the spaces they work in and the care they provide. This leads to improvements in both patient outcomes and staff satisfaction.
