Tony Bourne, Chair
READ MORETony joined as Chair in July 2014.
Tony is currently a non-executive director at various companies including Barchester, one of the UK’s largest residential care home businesses, Spire Healthcare, the leading UK listed private hospital and healthcare provider, and Totally plc, an AIM quoted leading provider of out-of-hospital care. For nearly nine years up to late 2013, he was Chief Executive of the British Medical Association. Prior to joining the BMA as Chief Executive, Tony was in investment banking for over 25 years, most recently as a partner at Hawkpoint. Previously, he was at BNP Paribas where he was Global Head of the Equities Division, a member of the Managing Board of the Group and a member of its four-person worldwide Corporate Finance Committee. Prior to that he was at Merrill Lynch both in London and New York. Tony has also held non-executive director positions with various organisations including Southern Housing Group, one of the country’s largest providers of social housing, where he served on the main board for nine years until 2013, and Scope, which focuses on cerebral palsy and is one of the UK’s largest charities.

Robert Bleasdale
READ MORERobert Bleasdale joined Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust as Chief Nursing Officer in 2022. He was previously Chief Nurse and Director of Infection Prevention and Control at St George’s University Hospital, and has held a number of senior nursing leadership roles in the NHS. He has led on a number of quality improvement programmes that helped raise standards of care, and was involved in St George’s exiting CQC special measures. He has proactively promoted partnership working and is passionate on the role of staff and patient involvement in key service decisions.
Robert started his nursing career in acute medicine, before moving into emergency care. He is an advanced trauma nursing course instructor, and completed his nursing degree at Oxford Brookes University. He also has a Master’s degree in Senior Healthcare Leadership from Birmingham University.
Robert became a Trustee of CW+ in September 2023.

Jonathan Callaway
READ MOREJonathan Callaway has enjoyed a long career in international commercial and investment banking, including working in Germany, New York and Hong Kong. After returning to the UK, he spent nearly 15 years at Deutsche Bank and more than 10 years at Hawkpoint Partners (now Canaccord Genuity). More recently, he has been working as an independent corporate adviser on capital-raising transactions. He was previously a Member of the Board of the British Library, where he remains a member of the Fundraising Advisory Group he helped to set up. He also chaired an ad hoc Board Investment Committee.
Jonathan has been a trustee of several local charities in Wandsworth and Putney, including Wandsworth Museum and Battersea Arts Centre. He was until recently a Justice of the Peace. In his spare time he is a researcher and writer on paper money and financial history, has co-authored two books on paper money and is a Director of the International Bank Note Society.
Jonathan was appointed as a Trustee of CW+ in March 2018.

Roger Chinn
READ MORERoger Chinn was appointed as Chief Medical Officer in Dec 2020. He is a clinical radiologist who has been a consultant with the Trust since 1996. Previously, he has held senior leadership roles as deputy medical director and chief clinical information officer in the Trust and was the medical director at West Middlesex University Hospital for the year prior to its acquisition by the Trust.
Roger was appointed as a Trustee of CW+ in March 2021.

Nick Gash
READ MORENick is a Non-Exec Director at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust and Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust; he chairs the Audit Committee at Imperial. Until 2022 he was a NED and Audit Chair at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, and was Board Chair of West Middlesex University Hospital prior to the acquisition by Chelsea and Westminster in 2015. Since 2021 Nick has served as independent Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee of the Royal Society of Medicine. He chairs the North West London advisory panel for the national Clinical Impact Awards.
Outside his NHS roles, Nick works as a consultant offering communications, policy and political advice, and training. He remains an associate of public affairs company Westbrook Strategy.
Until 2004, Nick was the Chief Executive of the National Union of Students, having previously been director of development and training. For nine years he was chair of the trustees of Watermans, a multicultural arts centre based in Brentford. He has been a Trustee of CW+ since 2016.

Nishant Nayyar
READ MORENishant Nayyar is a Managing Director in H.I.G.’s European Middle Market team based in the London office, where he leads technology and telecom investment efforts across Europe.
Nishant is responsible for key aspects of the private investment transaction process including deal origination, transaction structuring and negotiating, and post-closing portfolio company oversight. He has more than 14 years of private equity experience investing across the technology and business services sectors, including tech enabled services, telecoms, software and business services.
Prior to H.I.G., Nishant was a Principal at Apax Partners where he spent 10 years on the TMT industry and led several successful investments. Before that, he was a private equity investor at Warburg Pincus. He began his career as a consultant at Bain & Company. Nishant received his undergraduate degree in Economics and Political Science from Williams College and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
Nishant became a Trustee of CW+ in September 2023.

Steven Paling
READ MORESteven is a seasoned strategic executive with almost 20 years experience in strategic, analytical, and economic policy roles across public and private sectors. He has worked across healthcare, impact investment, emerging markets financing and international development.
Steven is currently the Senior Director of Strategy at the Tony Blair Institute for Global Change, responsible for driving TBI’s strategy, organisational performance and impact as well as acting as strategic counsel to the Senior Executive Team.
Prior to joining TBI, Steven worked for almost 10 years in NHS England in roles spanning strategy, analysis and economics, including leading NHSE’s Economics & Strategic Analysis team providing critical advice to the NHS Executive on complex issues facing the NHS. He previously worked with leading impact investor The Private Infrastructure Development Group.
Steven received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Economics from the University of Warwick, and an MPA in Public & Economic Policy from the London School of Economics.
Steven became a Trustee of CW+ in March 2024.

Brigid Rentoul
READ MOREBrigid Rentoul is the General Counsel and an Executive Director of Winton Group Limited, a quantitative investment manager. She is also a member of Winton's Executive Management Committee. She manages Winton’s in-house legal and compliance teams.
Brigid joined Winton in 2012 from Linklaters, where she was a leading international securities lawyer and a Partner in the Corporate Department for 15 years. She read Law at Cambridge University and was a Mellon Fellow at Yale Law School before joining Davis Polk & Wardwell in New York. She joined Linklaters in 1992 and continued to practice as both a US lawyer and an English solicitor.
Brigid is a Governor at Channing School and a Special Adviser to City Pay it Forward, a financial literacy charity. She was formerly a Trustee of the UK Crafts Council and Chair of its Audit Committee.
Brigid was appointed as a Trustee of CW+ in September 2023.

Marina Lobanov Rostovsky
READ MOREMarina became a Trustee of CW+ in July 2019. She is also a member of the Grants Committee. Marina has over 20 years of experience in fundraising and voluntary work within the charity sector.
She is a Trustee of the St Nicholas Fund, Vice Chairman of Trustees of the Children's Burns Trust and Co Chairman of The Poppy Ball in aid of The Royal British Legion. Marina is also a Justice of the Peace.
Marina was born and brought up in the Netherlands, she has British/Dutch nationality. She received a M.A in English Language and Literature from Leiden University.

Liz Shanahan
READ MORELiz Shanahan has over 25 years experience in healthcare and life sciences as an entrepreneur, CEO, Managing Director, Chair and Non-exec. For the last few years, Liz has been a coach and an advisor to senior leaders, in communication consultancies and large pharmaceutical corporations. She is also an angel investor in start-up and scale up Health-Tech businesses, where she provides strategic support. Liz has strong leadership skills; a track record of business success; an enviable network across healthcare and life sciences, and a black book of other extraordinary contacts from her involvement with the World Economic Forum, the Global Irish Network, the Irish International Business Network, the British Council and Darden School of Business.
From 2011 to 2014 Liz was Global Head and Senior Managing Director of the Healthcare and Lifesciences Communications business at the NYSE listed management consultancy, FTI Consulting. She was also a Strategic Lead of the $210m Healthcare and Lifesciences business spanning Restructuring, Economic Consulting, Corporate Finance and Communications, where she developed a major new cross segment business for the corporation. This followed the acquisition of the business she founded, Santé Communications in 2007, after 12 years as one of the world’s leading healthcare communications consultancies. Global clients included 18 of the top 20 pharmaceutical corporations and she secured and directed multi-million-pound corporate, financial, brand, medical and internal communications consultancy contracts.
Liz has a degree in Computer Programming & Maths from University College Cork and she is an alumnus of the University of Virginia, Darden School of Business.
Liz was 2017 Kerry Person of the Year and she was recently highlighted by the Irish Times as one of Irelands most significant global leaders in Healthcare and Life-sciences and as a Sci-Tech leader worldwide by Silicon Republic.

Sarah Waller CBE
READ MORESarah Waller is an Associate Specialist at the Association for Dementia Studies, University of Worcester, with a particular interest in developing enabling environments for people living with dementia. She directed The King's Fund's award winning, internationally recognised Enhancing the Healing Environment (EHE) programme which transferred to the University of Worcester in 2015.
Sarah has worked both in nursing and human resource management in the NHS and Department of Health. She is a judge for the Building Better Healthcare Awards and a member of the Dementia Action Alliance's Dementia Friendly Hospitals Taskforce. A former NHS Trust vice chair and member of the independent Liverpool Care Pathway Review Panel, Sarah was appointed CBE in 2008.
Sarah chairs the CW+ Arts and Design Committee and is a member of the Grants Committee.

Lesley Watts CBE
READ MORELesley Watts is Chief Executive of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust and was also Chief Executive of the North West London Integrated Care System (ICS) until November 2021. A nurse and midwife by training, Lesley has extensive executive managerial experience, having led the Trust since 2015 and was previously Chief Executive for East and North Hertfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group. In 2020, under her leadership, the Trust was awarded a CQC rating of Outstanding for well-led and use of resources. She is currently National SRO for Discharge.
In December 2022, Lesley was awarded a CBE in His Majesty the King’s New Year Honours for her service to the NHS.
Lesley was appointed as a Trustee of CW+ in October 2016.

Edwin Wulfsohn
READ MOREEdwin Wulfsohn gained banking experience at Chase Manhattan Bank, New York. He was one of the founders of Stenham, formerly Managing Director of Concorde Investments Limited and Co-founder and Chairman of Trans Zambezi Industries Limited. Edwin is a Trustee of the Caine Prize and the Contemporary Art Society and was formerly Director of The Chairmen’s Forum.
Edwin formerly served on the Foundation for Entrepreneurial Management at London Business School, was a Governor of the City of London School and a member of the Audit and Compliance Committee of Nedbank International. Edwin holds a BA degree from Cape Town University and an MBA from Columbia University.
Edwin was appointed as a Trustee of CW+ in January 2017.
