A group of seven young patients from Chelsea and Westminster Hospital were given a very special Christmas treat earlier today, of a pre-match meet and greet on the ‘blue carpet’ with Chelsea FC players.
Players gave out Christmas presents to the patients, signed autographs and posed for photos. The families were then invited to watch the Chelsea v Leicester match.
11-year-old patient Albert said “Today was epic – best day ever!”
Albert’s mum Jane added “I just couldn’t get over how wonderful it all was. The players really went out of their way to sign autographs and take photos, right before a match. Everyone made it so special for us and we appreciated it so much – thank you.”
