HAPPY 71st BIRTHDAY TO THE NHS!

This July marked the 71st anniversary of the NHS and we celebrated with special tea parties at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and West Middlesex University Hospital. Staff from across the Trust came together to enjoy a slice of cake and cup of tea in honour of our beloved NHS.

Not only were these parties a great opportunity to celebrate the achievements of the NHS, they also gave us the opportunity to recognise and thank our staff who work tirelessly to ensure the best care is provided for every one of our patients.

The birthday celebrations rounded off a week of wellness activities for staff, as part of the Trust’s first Health and Wellbeing Week. The packed programme meant there was something for everyone, including wellbeing talks, mindfulness sessions, yoga classes, massage and much more. Speakers included Dr. Esther Murray who provided a ‘Wellness Workshop’ with techniques to maintain psychological wellless at work, as well as David Beeney of Breaking the Silence, who shared his personal story with our staff, and discussed practical ways to break the stigma surrounding mental health and create a kinder culture in the workplace.

We are proud to support our Trust and staff in ensuring they provide the best possible care to patients, and we know that healthy, happy and well teams are key to achieving this.
