We would like to extend a huge thank you to The Grosvenor Group and Ethos Facilities for volunteering their time to improve some areas at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital.
The team were welcomed in the morning by Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust Chief Executive, Lesley Watts who thanked them all for giving up their time, despite the sweltering July heat!
Works started off in the outdoor garden, which was originally created by CW+ in partnership with The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The team gave all the benches a fresh coat of paint and smartened up the area which many staff and patients use for a lunchtime break, or simply for some peace and quiet amongst nature.
The Grosvenor Group, owned by the Duke of Westminster’s family, develops, manages and invests in property in more than 60 cities around the world. Grosvenor’s ‘Living Cities’ aim is to help create and manage cities which are sustainably, socially and economically robust. The areas of Belgravia and Mayfair have a global reputation which the Grosvenor Group maintain by continuously improving the neighbourhoods.
Chris Chaney, CW+ Chief Executive commented “It was wonderful to welcome the teams from Grosvenor Estate and Ethos Facilities to Chelsea and Westminster Hospital and we are so grateful for all their help. Seeing such a dedicated volunteer group come together on the hottest day of the year and show such commitment to improving our hospital environment gave a huge boost to our patients and staff. The impact made by the group in such a short period of time was remarkable and it was a pleasure to be able to welcome the team into the Chelsea and Westminster family.”
Simon Mantle, Associate Director – Property Management at Grosvenor Britain and Ireland added “The staff at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital provide world-class care around the clock, so we were honoured to work with CW+ to improve the hospital environment in any way we could. At Grosvenor, we are committed to supporting the communities we are active in, of which Chelsea and Westminster is an integral part. We hope that these improvements will enhance hospital life for staff and patients alike.”
CW+ is committed to continuously improving the patient environment and experience at our hospitals, we are so thankful to the Grosvenor Group for being a part of that.
