Dancer and burns survivor Abbie Quinnen runs half marathon for CW+

We are delighted to have Abbie Quinnen, dancer and burns survivor, running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on Sunday 1 August to fundraise for CW+.

Abbie is supporting the Burns Unit at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, where she was cared for after an accident six months ago. She will be running alongside fellow dancers AJ and Curtis Pritchard.

“I am so excited to be running the London Landmarks Half Marathon; I have always had a passion for running and this is going to be the furthest I’ve ever run. I am running to show that even after my accident I can do anything, and I won’t let anything stop me!” says Abbie, “I am so grateful for what the Burns Unit have done for me, from the five days in hospital, the three operations and for my continuous laser sessions.”

Kerry Huntington, Fundraising Director at CW+ says: “We are so grateful to have the support of Abbie Quinnen, AJ and Curtis Pritchard. Chelsea and Westminster Hospital is home to a regional Burns Service, where our staff have been able to help Abbie recover from her accident. It means so much to us to have Abbie, AJ and Curtis fundraising to support other patients with their half marathon, and we look forward to celebrating their achievement together!”

Abbie is aiming to raise £2,000 to support the Burns Unit – support her on JustGiving here.
