Juliet Bauer

Juliet Bauer is Chief Commercial Officer of Apian, which delivers autonomous healthcare logistics using drones and robots. She is also Non-Executive Director of HelloSelf, an online therapy provider.

Prior to Apian, Juliet was UK Managing Director and Global CGO at Kry Livi, successfully scaling digital primary care across Europe. She also previously ran patient-facing digital programmes for the NHS as NHS England’s Chief Digital Officer, launching the NHS app and relaunching nhs.uk. This followed more than 10 years in media, including launching The Times digital subscription.

Juliet is a member of the BMJ Future Health Advisory Committee and the CW+ Innovation Advisory Group, and was previously a patient governor at the Trust for six years.

Dr Justin Whatling

Dr Justin Whatling is a healthcare and IT executive with over 25 years of experience in digital transformation, informatics and leadership. A trained physician with a first-class degree in Genetics, he has held senior roles at global organisations including Palantir, Cerner, BT, Accenture and Bupa.

Since May 2025, Justin has served as CEO of Optum UK, leading strategic growth and aligning the business with the NHS’s 10-Year Health Plan. He previously led Palantir’s UK health business, and pioneered population health management globally at Cerner.

Justin is a Non-Executive Director at NICE and, previously, at BMJ Publishing Group. He is an elected member of techUK’s Health and Social Care Council, a Fellow and member of the BCS Academy Computing Board, management committee member of the BMJ Health & Care Informatics journal, and an adviser to CW+ and the Francis Crick Institute.

Hakan Salih

Hakan Salih is currently a Trustee at Future Care Capital, member of the CW+ Innovation Advisory Group, and Visiting Partner at Antler, a global early-stage VC firm.

He was previously Global Startup Partner Strategist at Amazon Web Services (AWS), building strategy, go-to-market (GTM) programmes and establishing new GTM channels that help startups grow their business. His previous role at AWS was Venture Capital & Startups Healthcare Business Development Lead, which included working with healthcare providers, investors and startups to drive adoption in healthcare and delivering the AWS Healthcare Accelerator programme in Europe.

Prior to AWS, Hak was Digital Health Lead at MedCity, advising domestic and international inbound digital health companies, clinical and academic entrepreneurs and investors to understand the UK’s ecosystem, build businesses and raise funding. He was also a board member of DigitalHealth.London and its Accelerator programme, where he delivered commercial and funding advice to the first five cohorts.

Hak is committed to talent development through mentorship, and has supported NHS staff via the Digital Pioneer Fellowship, NHS England’s Clinical Entrepreneur Programme and the NHS Innovation Accelerator.
