Alcohol awareness this Stoptober

Share

According to national data, about one in three hospital patients drink alcohol at hazardous levels. This Stoptober, we are raising awareness about the importance of monitoring one’s alcohol intake with some insightful videos to support and guide you.

CW+ has funded two animated awareness videos created by The Like Minded, in partnership with clinicians and the the public health team at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

These animations aim to tackle a shift towards harmful drinking levels, and to encourage a positive message of moderation and thoughtfulness around alcohol consumption.

By starting this conversation, we hope that members of the public will feel more comfortable tracking their habits, accessing support when needed, and in the long term, we aim to help reduce the alcohol-related burden on our NHS. Watch the patient-focused animation below.

This project was funded as part of our 2019 special funding call for Nurse, Midwife and Allied Health Professional-led projects. We’re always looking to support innovative staff-led ideas, so if you have an idea to improve patient care and experience at our hospitals, click here to find out more about our grants programme.
