Thirty at Thirty reaches £15m halfway mark thanks to a generous gift from The Exilarch’s Foundation

CW+ is pleased to announce that its Thirty at Thirty fundraising campaign has reached the halfway mark, with just over £15m now raised in gifts and pledges since its launch. A groundbreaking donation of £1m from The Exilarch’s Foundation was key to achieving this all-important fundraising milestone.

The Exilarch’s Foundation’s donation will go towards the Thirty at Thirty campaign and will support the Children’s Emergency Department at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, as well as other priority projects. With this latest gift, the campaign is well on its way to raising £30m by 2028 for Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust’s hospitals and clinics.

Thirty at Thirty

The public phase of the CW+ Thirty at Thirty campaign was launched in May 2023 to mark the 30th birthday of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Funds from the charity’s most ambitious fundraising campaign to date will support the Trust by creating world-class facilities, driving innovation and research, and enhancing patient and staff wellbeing.

Highlights have already included the opening of a brand-new CW Innovation Hub at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, which is a designated space for staff and partners to co-create and test new ideas. CW+ has also provided a suite of enhancements to enrich the experience of patients and staff in the relocated Adult Therapy Outpatients Department at the hospital. Additionally, Best For You opened Arc, a new purpose-built space in north-west London, which is home to the Arc Day Programme, a community-based service for young people with eating disorders.

Making a lasting impact

Chris Chaney, the Chief Executive of CW+, said: ‘We are delighted to have hit the halfway point in our Thirty at Thirty fundraising campaign, and we are incredibly grateful to The Exilarch’s Foundation for its extraordinary support, which will make a real difference to our patients and their families.

‘We would like to thank all our friends and supporters as we continue to pull together to reach our £30m goal, which will help our Trust deliver exceptional care to even more people.’

Michael Dangoor, Trustee of The Exilarch’s Foundation, said: ‘I and my brothers David and Elie are honoured to support the CW+ Thirty at Thirty campaign and the amazing work of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. Our donation is being made in memory of our brother Robert, who used the hospital extensively.

This campaign will help ensure every patient at the Trust receives the best possible care. We hope our donation inspires others, and will help make a lasting impact on patients, staff and the wider community.

Every donation, no matter the size, brings us closer to our fundraising goal and helps to make a positive difference to the patients and staff in our Trust. To find out more about our campaign or to make a donation, visit our Thirty at Thirty page.
