The CW Innovation Hub has marked its first six months of operation, and is already proving to be a valuable asset across Chelsea and Westminster Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Embedded in the heart of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital, the Hub has hosted a wide range of activities, from training sessions and product demonstrations to networking events, bringing together teams from across the organisation.Â
The Hub was opened as part of CW Innovation’s five-year anniversary, and is run by the CW Innovation Team, which supports the delivery of key innovation projects across the Trust.Â
Looking ahead – plans for the CW Innovation Hub
The Hub is set to evolve into an even more dynamic space. Plans are underway to make it a place where Trust staff can come along anytime and explore their innovative ideas with the team. It will also be a place where staff can learn more about the Trust’s innovation journey. Â
The coming months will also see more companies invited into the Hub to showcase emerging technologies. Trust staff with an interest in innovation are encouraged to stop by and get inspired.Â
Noni Nyathi, Innovation Business Partner for CW Innovation, said: ‘Since opening our doors in October, the CW Innovation Hub has become a place to develop next-generation healthcare solutions in an open and collaborative environment. We’re always encouraging Trust staff to drop in, whether it’s to share a new idea or to learn more about the latest innovations. We’re always here to support staff and would also like to hear from potential partners.’Â
Commenting on a recent event in the Hub, Natasha Herman, Adult Nursing Preceptorship Lead at the Trust, said: ‘It was great to attend the product demonstration at the CW Innovation Hub. Having the opportunity to speak directly to the company representatives added value. I gained insights and was able to exchange contact details for future collaboration. It’s a fantastic space for connecting innovation with real-world application’. Â
