On 4 and 5 July, 73 brilliant fundraisers bravely descended the side of Chelsea and Westminster Hospital in support of our work across the Trust.
The event raised more than £35,000 to help fund projects that enhance patient care, support staff wellbeing and drive innovation across Chelsea and Westminster and West Middlesex University hospitals.
A community effort
Participants ranged in age from 11 to 87 and included hospital and charity staff (including our Chief Executive Chris Chaney, who was the first to step over the edge), a Chelsea Pensioner, children from Kensington Prep School and other local supporters, cheered on by friends, family and local residents.
Supporting patients and staff
CW+ fundraiser Ellen abseiled in memory of her brother, who was cared for at Chelsea and Westminster Hospital. She said: ‘Every step down that building was for Tom – and for every individual or family who needs the same care, compassion and hope that we were given.’
Chloe Roberts, Public Fundraising Manager at CW+, said: ‘We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who took part in, donated to and supported this special event. Money raised will go directly to projects that benefit our patients and staff.’
